AUDIO PERFORMANCE
“Mijn poëzie is geen poëzie van betekenissen maar van beweging” (“My poetry is not a poetry of meanings but of movement”). The Dutch poet Hans Faverey (1933-1990) sums up the quintessence of his work in one sentence. His poems are conceived as musical compositions: the sounds as notes, identical and yet different according to the octave or the tone. The following poem from the series Man en dolfijn/mens en dolfijn illustrates this approach. *
Michel Lorand will use this poem to slide and repeat the five different stanzas. The listener can hear this poem as a canon in which the generic structure of “Ball; say: ball” will multiply, transform and unravel.
